This advanced practice of applying a personalized nutrition care process with the goal of promoting health and preventing diet and lifestyle-related diseases using the principles and concepts of integrative and functional medicine. Simply put, it’s the difference between taking pain meds and putting a bandaid over a splinter, instead of identifying and removing the splinter.

NRT is a non-invasive system of analyzing the body to determine the underlying causes of ill or non-optimum health. It is a type of muscle testing that utilizes the body’s own neurological reflexes.

Through our analysis, we are testing your body’s neurological reflexes.  These reflexes are the body’s way of telling us what and how your nervous system is doing, as it is the nervous system’s responsibility to regulate the function of every organ, gland and system in the body.

The initial visit is a 50-minute-long appointment. Follow up visits are a 25-minute-long appointment.

While health is a lifelong journey, most patients can expect monthly appointments for 6-8 months, depending on functional nutritional exam findings and the patient’s individual goals.

Our program is designed to decrease inflammation and support the immune system in order to restore function to the body. Weight loss is a common side effect of the program.

While each program is personalized, most patients on an active treatment plan have follow up visits every 4-6 weeks.  Maintenance care is once every 3 months.

Our goal is to support the body’s immune system by removing inflammatory triggers that might be interfering or inhibiting normal function.  At the same time, we fill any nutritional gaps with whole food-based supplements to support the body as it heals, specific to your unique needs.

Our goal with Functional Nutrition is to identify and support the root of problem, allowing the body to return to natural function.  Our individualized program includes a detailed health history, functional nutrition exam and personalized plan that targets the goals of each patient.
